Q:
How
can I load a web site to my web hosting account?
A:
First, you must obtain a web site account. To do this please
contact our sales department at
sales@win.net.
- If you already have a web site
account, upload the page(s) to ftp.win.net and use your primary
account
name and password for the username and password fields
for the ftp client.
Once you have logged in, you'll
notice two or three folders. The folder you need to put your
website files in is
marked "WWW". You also need to make sure the
main page for your site is named either "index.html",
"index.htm",
"welcome.html", or "welcome.htm".

Q:
Can I set up a form on my website to let customers/clients email me?
A: We have a server-side CGI script that
you can use to send mail forms. It's located here:
http://www.win.net/cgi-bin/mailform.cgi
Documentation for the script is here:
http://nms-cgi.sourceforge.net/
One important note: when calling the
script, the sender (FROM address) and the recipient (TO address)
must be filled in, and both need to be email addresses set up on our
servers. This is a precautionary measure to prevent mailforms from
being used by spammers to send junk email. If you wish to have the
messages sent to another address, simply use our
Mailbox Manager to set up a new email account, then set it to
forward to the email address where you wish to receive the forms.
