Monday May 5 7:00 - 9:00 pm Understanding How HTML Works:
Building Your First Web Page

Location: Win.Net Training Center

HTML is the basic building block for the Internet. Web sites are created using text and images - it is HTML or "Hyper Text Markup Language" that binds the 2 into a visible web page.

  • Learn how to create a page
  • Learn how to insert images
  • Learn how to link your pages together or to another web site
  • Learn how to "borrow, use, or just see" how other webmaster have used HTML to create there sites.

You will use basic HTML to add elements such as JavaScript, PayPal links, color matching, affiliate text, or inserting sections you might use on different pages.

Whether you build sites using FrontPage, Dreamweaver, or another editing software product, every successful webmaster should understand the basics of HTML.

We will build 2 sample websites - a software wizard driven site and a plain HTML site. We will be using Microsoft's FrontPage for our examples. However, the concepts and ideas may be used regardless of what software program you will be using.
